1 Year Of Deliveroo In Sheffield!

Recently I was approached by a brand who provides one of my favourite things ever, Food! Deliveroo is a food delivery service that brings you quality food from local restaurants. Its like Uber but with food. So you know its going to be good to start with. In Sheffield there is a massive amount of restaurants that work with Deliveroo and will have their delivered. I was trying out there service to celebrate their first birthday in Sheffield.

Unfortunately for me, I live outside of the delivery radius, but I work in the city centre so there wasn’t any problems getting food sent through. I have been reassured they are looking at serving more areas. Yay!

You can order from the app or the website, its really simple. You pick where you want to eat from, what you want and then what time you want it to arrive for (you can order up to a day in advance also). Easy peasy. What impressed me most was tracking the food, there nothing finer than watching your phone and seeing the food be delivered on the app. When you can’t religiously stare at your phone you get notifications of where the food is and every step in its cooking process.

I think its an amazing service and I’m forever waiting for the day my postcode gets delivered too. I will be ordering from them everyday. Its so worth it!

Moschino Fresh Couture

On my flight back from Barcelona the evil airport tricked me in to buying thing again! Doesn’t it understand that I am broke? How dare it… Anyway I can clean away the badness of this with Moschino Fresh Couture! My latest perfume purchase is disguised as a bottle of window cleaner. I can hide this away so no one will know I went shopping.

Like the name says, this is a very fresh smelling perfume with a slight fruitiness to it. It’s a really light perfume, its an amazing day time wear. Its not too heavy or strong, its subtle but lasts all day for work.

Although the whole appearance of the bottle is very much a gimmick, it’s a very cute and quirky bottle. However I did find a few things Moschino could have improved on, take notes Moschino. While looking like it has a squeeze-y spritz-y thing like cleaning products have, you need to turn the squeezer until it comes off to reveal a normal press down sprizter. That was phrased in a very Billie way, so if you don’t quite understand what I mean is that its a shame it doesnt spray from the top of the bottle.  It would have been 300 times cooler you didn’t have to take off the top to spray it.

Also the price, its like £50 for 50mls, I got it in duty free so it was a little cheaper for me, I kind of feel like its a lot to pay for a gimmick. While I have my qualms about this product, I do really enjoy how it looks and I think the fragrance is perfect for my day to day life, I shouldn’t complain really.

What do you think of this product? What is your favourite perfume.

Dear John Review

When body spray, Dear John, meets an idealistic blogger, it’s the beginning of a strong love. Over the next seven tumultuous weeks and separated by Billies increasingly busy lifestyle, they stay in touch only a couple of times a day with quick spritz. However their correspondence triggers unforeseen consequences.  I hope I can’t get done for plagiarism with this, Melania Trump, please don’t steal the summary of the film Dear John in your next speech.

For £15 you too could own this amazing unisex body spray and live out a similar story like the one above. This is your typical Lush product, its a little different and its amazing. In the typical body spray bottle, this perfume is anything but typical.  This is a really earthy scent, its a little smokey and a little fruity. Its a fantastic mix. It’s also vegan and you can get this product in a naked solid form which is actually better for the environment.

What is your favourite perfume?

Nina L’Eau Nina Ricci perfume

Throwback to Amsterdam really quick, when I was in the airport for my return flight I were determined to buy a perfume. I must have spent 20 minutes smelling everything in the store until I found the one. I bought the Nina L’Eau  by Nina Ricci perfume, which I have decided to make my smell of summer.

While costing £37 for a 50 ml bottle, a little will go a long way. This scent to Nina is very long lasting and sweet. It’s a very soft sweet smell though, some sweet perfumes make me sneeze, but this is perfectly balanced. If I was a more poetic writer I would say its light, sweet and romantic. When I say long lasting, I mean long lasting, I spritz a little on in the morning and I still catch a whiff of it in the evening.

The packaging is truly adorable. The bottle is a cute little apple, that is slightly tinted pink. The detailing is subtle and gorgeous. Nina is by far the prettiest perfume I have ever owned.

I am massively obsessed with the perfume, I am proud to say this will be the scent of my summer maybe even of the year. I have been completely blown away by this product, I will be definitely re-buying this when it runs out.

What perfume are you wearing/loving right now? Would you like more posts like this?

Valley Centertainment Blogger Evening

A few weeks a go, I was part of a lucky few to get invited along to the Valley Centertainment Bloggers Evening, we will be call VCBE from now on though. For those who aren’t from Sheffield Valley Centertainment is a hub of restaurants, and all of the fun things. Like play areas of kids, laser quest, mini golf, cinema. If you ever come to our little city it’s definitely a place you need to visit.
I met up with most of the bloggers in Starbucks for a coffee and a catch up before we headed over to Hollywood Bowl where we were treated to half an hour of bowling at Hollywood Bowl. I’m not competitive, but when I lose at anything I want to cry. I quickly became annoying to everyone else when they we’re doing well and I was trying to find ways to cheat. I didn’t win, but one of the girls were nice enough to give me her winner sticker.

Then it was my time to shine! We went to laser quest, and when I said I’m not competitive I was lying! We chose our names for the game, the girls all had their real names and I called myself ‘Winner’.  I was in my element. I hid in one spot and everyone just kept not expecting me and getting shot. Rightly so, I was hot, sweaty and finally a winner.

After running up an appetite, we headed over to Chiquitos for a cocktail and some food. I ordered a frozen Mojito because I’m classic winner, just like the mojito. I ordered Salmon fajita and a bowl of coleslaw for dinner, and the were so delicious. Everyone knows I have a crazy obsession with coleslaw – I was satisfied

Once we had eaten we headed for a short round of crazy golf at paradise island. We split up into teams and had 20 minutes to complete as much of the course as we could. I hate golf. I’m rubbish at it, and uneven floors mean I trip up a lot. I didn’t win but I tried and that is all that matters, is what I tell myself with gritted teeth.

After tiring ourselves out at crazy golf we headed to Frankie & Benny’s to sample a handful of their desserts. I’ve never been happier. I live on mojitos, I happily necked it and sampled all of the puddings but the banoffee pie. My personal favourite was the chocolate oreo fudge cake thing.

The other girls headed to the cinema and all of the winning had tired me out, so I headed home to have a well deserved sleep.  I would really like to thank all of the businesses and Valley Centertainment of inviting me along. I had an amazing time.

Real Techniques Limited Edition Cheek and Lip Set

If you saw my Superdrug Haul that recently came out you might be aware that I bought the Real Techniques Limited Edition Cheek and Lip Set. I needed to wash my other brushes and I really didn’t want to clean them, it takes effort and patience and I don’t have that. Soooo I bought this limited edition kit. The kit its self was £20.99, but I think I got it on offer. I’ve lost the receipt so who knows!

Microfiber compact cheek brush

This is the densely packed, UltraPlush bristles cheek brush. This a really dense and soft brush. I’d really recommend it for blending make up out, the angle of the brush would give a really nice finish. The bristles are synthetic but I cant get over how soft they are.

duo-fiber contour brush

Next is the Duo-fiber Contour Brush. This brush has a really nice stippling effect to it, its angled on the sides but the bristles are at different lengths. I wouldn’t recommend this brush for blending or finishing however because of the stippled affect it would be amazing for sculpting.

819.JPG

This is a really nice Travel Lip Brush, like most travel brushes this brush came with a nice lid. My favourite feature is that this brush retracts though so I can go tiny. I love how compact this is. For the bristles they are fine and would be absolutely perfect for a lip contour.

Overall, I’m impressed with the quality of these brushes. All of them are soft and seem to be strong. I haven’t experienced any shedding with any of them at all so far, we will see how they hold up over the extensive use they will endure.

See you next time!

Clinique Skin Care Update

This month has been the month to trial Cliniques 3 step Introduction Kit. I’ve put off writing this post quite a lot to be honest. As you might remember after using simple my skin wasn’t very good, so I used Clinique while I waited for my skin to clear up. It should have taken a week tops to sort its self out, as I don’t get spots normally.

After about a week of using clinique I started getting these huge dark purple spots, which were very sore. I thought it may be residual from using simple still so I gave it another week. I had more purple spots and the existing ones had doubled in size. I had arranged an update with the people in store while using there products. I went in to discuss my spots with them and they reassured me they are normal? Which I personally don’t think they are.

Its now been another week and I have just 10 days left of this skin care challenge but I’m not happy so far. I have spoke to a friend of mine, who had similar experiences and it caused her lots of problems with her skin. In comparison my problems are small, but it I wouldn’t like to have similar problems. Unfortunately I will not be continuing using these products as I don’t feel like they are doing anything good for my skin.

What do you think about these dark purple spots? Do you have any quick fixes for spots?
